David O Malley is an Irish designer whose work does not challenge boundaries. It ignores them. After all, defining yourself in opposition to something still privileges that something. Rather than formal conformity or transgression, unique sculptural pieces which evoke an emotional reaction are always the center of gravity in O Malley’s work.

Beginning his fashion label upon graduating from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin in 2014, David O Malley soon became recognisable for his unique avant-garde aesthetic. By manipulating and experimenting with luxury as well as more unconventional materials, he continuously reinvents himself. The end result are designs which engage audiences with a world of excitement, danger and desire. In this spirit of continuous reinvention, David O Malley has recently expanded his label beyond fashion and into jewellery, homeware as well as bath & body.

David O Malley’s work has been nominated for several prestigious national and international awards and receives significant media attention. Over the years his pieces have featured in various events such as the Vogue Fashion Festival at the Royal Albert Hall and the Berlin Fashion Film Festival. His daring designs are regular fixtures in publications such as Dazed and Confused, Hot Press, Flawless, Totally Dublin, The Irish Times, The Irish Independent and The Irish Examiner. He has also collaborated with numerous other designers, artists and musicians: designing custom pieces for their performances, cinematography and events.
